BigCommerce is a hosted ecommerce platform aimed at mid-market and enterprise retailers, offering built-in multi-channel selling, headless commerce, and no transaction fees on its own gateway. It was founded in 2009 by Eddie Machaalani and Mitchell Harper and is headquartered in Austin, Texas. It is the main open-SaaS alternative to Shopify at the larger end of the market.

Plans start at roughly $29 per month for Standard and rise through Plus and Pro, with Enterprise priced on request. Plans carry annual sales thresholds that push growing stores up a tier, which is part of why referred customers keep generating value.

The affiliate payout is one of the most aggressive in ecommerce: 200% of the customer's first monthly payment, or up to $1,500 for an enterprise customer. Because rates scale from $1.50 for a simple registration up to that enterprise figure, the program rewards quality of traffic far more than raw volume.

The cookie window is a generous 90 days, and it allows multiple conversions inside that window — upgrades and additional purchases by the same referral also credit to you. Actions carry a lock period of roughly two and a half months before approval, and the minimum payout is $50.
